Holistic Trauma Therapy

About me

Hi there! My name is Brianna (she/her), and I’m a licensed psychotherapist in both Ohio and New York, perpetual student, community organizer, activist, and creative. I bring experiences from my yoga teacher and birth doula trainings, as well as invaluable lessons from my own life journey into my holistic practice. I’m based in Cleveland, Ohio on Eerie Land, and I welcome clients in-person if they’re local!

My Guiding Beliefs

  • I believe that every story deserves the space to be acknowledged without judgment or comparison.

  • I believe that you are not a problem to be fixed, which is often a harmful approach of the mental health industrial complex.

  • I believe that normal emotional responses to life stressors and trauma have been pathologized, causing intense guilt and shame. Every ounce of feeling needs to be felt in its entirety. Crying never needs an apology.

  • I believe that you have the innate power to heal yourself. I’m simply here to guide and empower you along the way.

  • The body remembers traumatic events regardless of how long ago they happened, even ancestral trauma. Time does not heal all wounds; reprocessing those traumatic events does.

  • When we can show up for ourselves, we can more fully and authentically show up for our community.

  • I believe that the personal is political. There is no mental and emotional healing without a politicized framework.

  • I believe that capitalism, imperialism, and white supremacy have caused us to be more individualistic and isolated. Community, connection, creativity, ancestral engagement, and joy actively push against colonial practices.

  • Our experience is worthy of radical self love. Always.

  • Instead of learning to cope with a world full of oppressive forces, we can use our collective rage to work towards liberation.
